Brad Abram's Videos
Over the next coming weeks I would like everyone to slowly watch the Brad abrams videos. The videos are actually parts of a seminar he and others did for other "companies" in Microsoft.
Microsoft is obviously enormous and in it there are huge departments. Each department is the size of a large company. For example, the SQL Server department at Microsoft alone has over 1,000 people(!!!). So obviously not everyone talks to everyone else (and apparently the IE teams talks to no one) The seminar Brad is doing is a seminar FOR Microsoft employees to teach them how they are to write their own class libraries for .NET.
For example, in the audience there are probably many developers who are creating Office 12 (Office.NET basically) and others who are building other major Microsoft products. As I keep saying, .NET has a flow and elegance to it that makes it beautifuly consistent. This seminar is how to keep that beauty. He also goes into dept about many .NET topics that I will also be covering. The video series is somewhat in dept, but not compleley exhaustive. His book (released last month) is obviously more exhaustive
By watching the videos, you are ahead of much of the .NET population and your development will go much more smoothly. In fact, I've been saying for a long time that Brad Abram's design allows you to write code that virtually falls together and is practically self documenting.
